I have to say I owe everything to my camera, and lens! After chasing the sunset, and finally getting to our second location (the lakebed) with minimal light, my camera pulled through and captured the last few minutes of natural light with no flash. It was risky but Natalie wanted that soft natural light, and making it to our second location was for the best.
So let me tell you about these two. Natalie and Phillip just got engaged.

Introducing Shadow & Zelda, the newest members in our family. My daughter has wanted a puppy for a long time, so we decided to get two for her birthday. We have been pondering for a while when to get a pair of puppies. We wanted two so they could have each other and I am so glad we did! They are like two peas in a pod and always have to be together. I must admit that it is hard! Getting up at 4:30 in the morning to take them out to potty has been a challenge and exhaustingly daunting. But they are catching on quite fast. They have such individual personalities.
Zelda is sweet, calm cool and collected but don't let her fool you! When her brother is overly rough, she lets him know right away!
Shadow is a sweet, and persistently stubborn. I love the way he looks at me out of the corner of his eye when he doesn't get his way. Almost to say with a big long drawn out sigh, "Ok, but I'm not happy with this at all."
So after a couple of days I decided to grab the camera and snap a couple pictures. I've taken pictures of dogs before, and spontaneous toddlers. But nothing compared to trying to get these two rambunctious Labs to sit still! The rain didn't help either! Of course toddlers are hard but they don't try to attack your camera and nibble at your toes either. Well when all was said and done, I did get a few. I hope to get a couple more Photoshoots in before they grow. They won't be this small for long!
