Born in America, raised in California, I started drawing at the age of eight. Growing up I was influenced by my fathers love for the classics in art as well as music. My different styles reflect a love for a variety of music and art. Inspired by the dark charcoals of Ture Bengtz I started drawing black and white portraits. Later I discovered Bouguereau, Boris Vallejo, and Frank Fezetta and my love for drawing the figure became more inspiring. Alternating my love for painting dramatic dark oils and charcoals, to light high key vivid portraits with vintage classic textures. My love for everything creative can be seen in my many styles as I shift back and forth from dramatic to fun.

Deborah's candid street photography reflects the colorful bright light and color of the desert. The spontaneous movement capturing the essence of people in a colorful window of light and shadow. Her pastels are know to carry the same feeling and playfulness with hard light and shadow.
